FUNCTION SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant provides secretarial support in all matters pertaining to the activities of the Regional Palliative Care Community Services team which includes booking of patient appointments and related clerical support for the outpatient clinic. You are a dynamic and keen individual and have excellent communication abilities. You work in a confidential manner and adapt well to different work priorities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Community college diploma from a recognized institution (secretarial course or equivalent is preferrable).
- Recent experience in secretarial and/or clerical support.
- Advanced computer skills, Microsoft Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Groupwise, Data Base entry/report.

Superior interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in the use of MEDITECH
- Fluent in French and English, spoken and written.
- 2 years experience in related health care field.
- Ability to work in a confidential manner.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Excellent listening skills coupled with the ability to offer mature, sensitive, courteous client-centered service.
