Managing Pain Together

On behalf of our sponsors, we are pleased to launch the first of five modules on "Managing Pain Together". We chose the theme of stepping stones along a river as the graphic design as it takes the learner along a pathway towards better pain management. The e-learning program will be comprised of five modules. The stepping stones or modules will be as follows:

  1. Understanding and recognizing pain (now available at http://www.managingpaintogether.ca)
  2. Assessing pain for the cognitively impaired
  3. Assessing pain in vulnerable populations
  4. Addressing pain
  5. Reassessing pain

With these modules, health care professionals will have access to a convenient, flexible, and cost-effective means of palliative care education that supports a diverse range of clinical learners. Learners will be able to access a range of educational resources in an active and dynamic learning environment where they can engage in learning opportunities that create a personally meaningful experience.
