Function SummaryReporting to the Director, Family Health Services, the incumbent performs venipunctures, electrocardiograms and pulmonary function tests on patients according to standardized methods and policies. He/She prepares specimens, keeps accurate records and manages lab results. He/She is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère Continuing Care. He/She is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement. Required Qualifications- Diploma from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program.
- Valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Basic Life Support (B LS) Level C certificate
- Recent experience as a venipuncture technician
- Ability to take vital signs, perform ECG’s, tests and other procedures within the scope of practice
- Ability to draw blood
- Bilingualism (French and English)
