Celebrating our physicians on Doctors’ Day

Every year on May 1, 2019, the Ontario Medical Association celebrates Doctors’ Day in recognition of the contributions made by Ontario’s over 40,000 doctors. #doctorsday
At Bruyère, we take this opportunity to recognize and thank our physicians for the important role they play in delivering care to our patients, residents and families. Doctors are there for the joyful moments as well as some of the most stressful times of our lives. They bring new life into this world and guide us as we grow and age with dignity.
Clinical care is only part of their work. Bruyère physicians are active in leadership and administration roles on committees and the Board of Directors. They are actively engaged on an ongoing basis in the development of many initiatives such as the rollout of our electronic patient record and restructuring of clinical programs such as implementation of the LHIN’s recommendations for changes to sub-acute care. Their time is also devoted to teaching and research as well as sharing knowledge with students and medical residents.
On behalf of the entire leadership team, we thank all of our physicians for their dedication and commitment to ensuring quality patient care at Bruyère.
