Masks will still be required at all Bruyère Campuses

06/09/2022

Ontario’s Medical Officer of Health announced that mask mandates would be lifted for hospitals and remain in place for long-term care, effective Saturday, June 11, 2022. While masking requirements are expiring, organizations may implement their own policies.

Bruyère, like all other Ottawa area hospitals, will be keeping our mask mandate in place for now.

As a health care organization with two long-term care homes, given the incredibly vulnerable population we care for, Bruyère will continue to require everyone on our campuses to keep their masks on. This includes our specialized hospitals, long-term care homes and family health clinics. Masks will still be made available to all our visitors and team members after they pass through screening at our sites.

Thank you for continuing to mask up for your loved ones and all the people we care for. This is safer for our patients and helps reduce exposure and illness for our teams, helping them continue to be at work, caring for the people we serve.
