Update on our COVID-19 response

We are happy to be able to share with you that the outbreak at our Élisabeth-Bruyère Residence long-term care home has been declared over by Ottawa Public Health.
Although we are relieved to be able to share this news, we remain diligent and are committed to taking all measures and evolving our response in our efforts to prevent the re-entry of the COVID-19 virus to our home.
We welcome the province’s commitment to continued testing of all staff working in long-term care and will be undergoing two rounds of testing for all of our employees in long-term care in the month of June. Details will follow for our employees on the logistics of this process. We will also maintain the prevention measures we have in place while continuing to look for creative solutions to provide opportunities for residents to have social connection, at a time of physical distance.
We grieve alongside the family members and loved ones of the residents who passed during this outbreak. We will be looking to organize a commemoration initiative in the coming weeks in collaboration with the loved ones of our residents, our employees and members of the broader community.
