Bruyère Therapeutic Support Services has enhanced existing services and developed new services to help ensure our patients and residents continue to be engaged, social, and connected with their loved ones to help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation during these unprecedented times.
Connecting with your loved ones at Bruyère
To help keep you connected with your loved ones at Bruyère, we are here to facilitate phone and video chats (FaceTime/Skype/Zoom) 7 days a week. You can submit your request by email at email@example.com or by telephone at 613-562-6364. Patients and residents in our care can also request this service by speaking with a volunteer of staff member at Bruyère.
If you need access to devices or technical support at home to keep in touch, our partners at Connected Canadians are here to help. To access this service, please complete and submit this form.
Virtual connections available during a stay at Bruyère
In addition to these services, our teams have developed virtual activities for patients and residents to enjoy. These include virtual trivia games, a music and memory program, concerts, and sight-seeing.
Spiritual care services
Patients, residents, volunteers, and staff who may be showing signs of spiritual distress can also request supportive phone calls by pastoral care volunteers, virtual or phone check-ins with our Chaplains by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 613-562-6364
Onsite daily activities
When possible, our teams are conducting daily activities each day inpatient and resident room across our campuses, such as friendly visits, playing cards or board games, watching movies, meal assistance, and distributing activity kits.
