Happy National Volunteer Week

The pandemic has disrupted volunteer activities at Bruyère for over two years now and, in the process, highlighted the unique place they occupy at Bruyère. Their support and presence have always been and continue to be indispensable to our patients, residents, staff and visitors.
Today, despite the ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic and the burden of pandemic restrictions, dozens of volunteers at our three sites are carrying on with their activities. Some of them never stopped coming in even at the height of the pandemic. Others found ways to stay involved remotely. Many who cannot yet return still check in with our team to get the news of Bruyère and reaffirm their eagerness to return as soon as their circumstances permit it. Their commitment is as unmistakable as it is appreciated.
This National Volunteer Week (April 24 to April 28, 2022) is an occasion to highlight this commitment of our volunteers and express our profound gratitude for their generosity of heart.
