Debbie Gravelle

Debbie GravelleMs.Gravelle is Senior vice-president of clinical Programs and Chief Nursing executive (CNE) and Allied Health at Bruyère. She is an ex-officio member of the Bruyère Board of Directors and a member of the Quality Management and Mission Effectiveness Committee and the Audit and Resource Management Committee.

Ms. Gravelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa and a Master's of Health Studies (Leadership stream) from Athabasca University.

Ms. Gravelle has over 30 years of experience as a health care professional. She has worked at the Vancouver General Hospital, Ottawa Hospital, and Cancer care Ontario in a variety of positions such as staff nurse, charge nurse, educator, advanced practice nurse, manager, program director and director of Nursing Professional Practice at Bruyère Continuing Care. She is a member of the Regional and Provincial CNE group. She is also a member of the Global Association for Nurse Executives and an accreditation surveyor for Accreditation Canada.

As senior vice-president, Clinical Programs and chief Nursing Executive (CNE) and Allied Health, Ms. Gravelle is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating all patient care activities and other related services. In this position, she supports and counsels the president and CEO on matters related to the delivery of quality and safe patient care. Ms. Gravelle is responsible for excellence in practice and ensuring that care provided to the patients and families of Bruyère is safe, effective and evidence-based.

Ms. Gravelle has been involved at the local, regional, provincial, national and international levels in supporting excellence in nursing practice. She is passionate about ensuring patients receive the highest, safest quality care.
