Function summary

Under the direction of the Director, Medical Affairs, the incumbent acts as a resource person and coordinates/assumes responsibility for a variety of administrative functions. The incumbent provides a variety of administrative assistance and secretarial support to the Department of Medical Affairs, Director, Medical Leadership and Physicians. He/She assists with proposals for COVID-19 bed expansion and assists with COVID-19 onboarding requirements for new medical learners. The incumbent will also support the medical affairs department in the areas of physician human resource and financial management.

Required qualifications
  • Three (3) years community college diploma in Business Administration or in a relevant field of an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a health care setting supporting management positions
  • Fluent in French and English, spoken and written (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement)
  • Proficiency in computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience in organizing meetings, taking minutes and translating documents
  • Experience in maintaining electronic filing systems
