Bruyère Continuing Care (Bruyère) is currently looking to fill LOCUM positions within our Complex Continuing Care inpatient program. These positions are ideal positions for family doctors, hospitalists or new graduates looking for a new challenge and stable income. The ideal candidates must work well in a team environment and be comfortable with inpatient medicine.

Bruyère, an Academic Health Science Centre, excels in the provision of evidence-based health care and services for the vulnerable and medically complex, with a focus on persons who require sub-acute, geriatric or palliative care. Among other programs, Bruyère provides in-patient and out-patient clinical services in Care of the Elderly, Complex Continuing Care, Palliative Care and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Bruyère is one of the largest health care centers of its kind in Canada and a resource for information on the special care required by the elderly, people with chronic and terminal illnesses, and persons having suffered loss of autonomy.


Additional Information

  • Locum period: June 21,2021 to October 1,2021.
  • Coverage for various physicians on a week to week basis.
  • This would involve caring for 20-30 patients.
  • Rounding on 20-30 patients 2-5 times a week depending of care stream (rehab vs chronic) within standard business hours (8-4) Monday to Friday.
  • Taking calls 8-5 daily (M-F) for said patients from floor.
  • On-call Coverage: 2 evenings a month & 1 weekend day per month.
