Function SummaryReporting to the Facilities Manager, the senior plumber coordinates the daily activities of the plumbing section such as provide advice on projects, drafts lists of material requirements and schedule work, repair and maintain piping systems and fixtures, and install pipe fixtures. Is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère . Is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement. Required Qualifications- Secondary school or College Diploma
- Trade or vocational school graduation, with courses in blueprint reading, mechanical drawing and plumbing.
- Valid Ontario or Inter-provincial plumbing license
- A four-year apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training is required
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Must be familiar with the Ontario safety codes.
Preferred Qualifications- Basic computer skills
- Ability to understand forms and relationships when working from blueprints or specifications.
- Manual dexterity when working with tools, making pipe connections and assembling fixtures and supplies.
- Form perceptions to make visual comparisons and discriminations when cutting, threading and fitting pipe connections.
- Fluent in French and English
