Function SummaryReporting to the Adult Day Program Manager, this role is responsible of coordinating and completing daily administrative tasks for the day program. Tasks include:
- Create and manage the weekly schedule for participants of the day program.
- Assist the manager in the initial assessment of client eligibility for new admissions for the program.
- Participate in the planning and organizing of activities based on clients’ abilities to participate.
- Leverage innovative and creative strategies in the development of therapeutic activities.
- Ongoing communication with family members in respect to accounts receivables and billing inquiries.
- Participate in tracking key statistical information pertinent to the day program.
- Replace the manager during absences or vacation.
- Collaborate with other staff within the day program as well as with the manager and staff within Bruyère village.

Required Qualifications- Two (2) years’ college diploma.
- Two (2) years of a recent relevant experience (work or educational) in healthcare. Preferred work experience in adult day programs.
- Experience in working with day programs or day program environments, familiar with healthcare systems and services.
- Fluent in French and English.
Key Competencies- Ability to build relationships with family members of existing clients, engage and reach out to family when appropriate.
- Ability to log pertinent information in computerized systems for statistical references.
- Health Literacy knowledge to understand RAI-CHA evaluations from Ontario Health.
- Experience in working with Alzheimer’s and dementia client populations.
- Healthcare system knowledge.
- Knowledge of adult day programs and activities.
- Excellent knowledge of community services available for seniors.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time and organizational management skills. Ability to organize / orchestrate /operationalize.
