Function summary Under the direction of the Clinical Manager, the incumbent will provide portering services and general support to the unit as required according to the policies, procedures and standards of Bruyère Continuing Care in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner. The incumbent functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and support team. He/She is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère Continuing Care. He/She is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement.
Required qualifications - Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform activities requiring considerable standing, bending, reaching, pushing, transferring of patients and equipment
- Fluent in French and English
Preferred qualifications- Ability to work autonomously
- Knowledge of Safe Patient Transfers Program
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment
- Ability to actively and effectively collaborate with the members of the interdisciplinary team
- Proven, excellent organizational and time management skills
