Function SummaryReporting to the Director, Clinical Programs at Élisabeth-Bruyère Hospital, the incumbent is accountable for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating all activities of the assigned unit in order to provide high quality patient care. The incumbent is accountable for the administrative and clinical management of the Stroke Rehabilitation unit and the Ambulatory Stroke Service in accordance with the Public Hospitals Act, the philosophy, mission and strategic direction of Bruyère Continuing Care, the standards from the Canadian Council of Health Services Accreditation, the Regulated Health Professionals’ Act, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the relevant collective agreements. He/She is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère Continuing Care. He/She is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement. Required Qualifications- University degree in Nursing or in an Allied Health Profession
- Candidates must be qualified for professional practice in Ontario and registered with their discipline specific professional College in one of the above mentioned disciplines
- Minimum of three (3) years experience as a Clinical Manager or in a management position
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation preferred
- Working knowledge of the health care system
- Knowledge in the Total Quality Management (TQM) principles and their application
- Advanced computer skills and medical terminology
- Bilingualism (English and French), spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications - Preparation at the Master's level, preferably in Public, Business or Health administration, or equivalent
