$32.66 to $46.76/hr, plus a percentage in lieu of benefits

Function Summary

The Registered Nurse in the Rehabilitation - Outpatient Services is accountable for the clinical coordination of the consultations and follow-up information, education and liaison services of the ambulatory care services.

The Registered Nurse also coordinates referrals to the community and other programs such as the Geriatric Day Hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • 5 years experience in the field of Rehabilitation
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Advanced medical terminology
  • Valid Basic Life Support ( BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent in French and English
  • Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing and/or a Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Knowledge of professional resources available in Ottawa area for patients with stroke
  • Advanced knowledge in Adult Education
  • Knowledge in TQM principles and their applications
  • Experience in rehabilitation
  • Superior communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
  • Leadership and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to change
  • Motivation towards personal and professional growth
  • Membership in Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)
