FUNCTION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Learning and Development, the primary purpose of this position is to enhance the profile of Bruyère Continuing Care as a learning organization and academic health science centre. This position serves to increase the knowledge, skills and positive attitudes of a diverse workforce. It contributes to the design and delivery of learning solutions and organizational development strategies in support of key strategic priorities and operational goals.

This position will focus more specifically on organizational design, change management and workplace culture; and may at times be asked to do instructional design, compliance training, and learning technologies. The incumbents may, at times, be asked to work on all responsibilities.

The incumbent will be responsible for the overall delivery of corporate and non-clinical education and/or training to employees and management that supports their personal and professional development; continuously improves individual and team performance; and contributes to the organization’s success in living its mission and achieving its vision.

The incumbent serves approximately 2100 employees, including some 85 managers, and approximately 570 volunteers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Health Care, Administration, Human Resources, Education or related field; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Additional recognized professional education in a related field such as adult learning, quality improvement, change management, project management, etc.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment 
  • Experience working in change leadership, and engagement towards employees 
  • Superior working knowledge of adult learning 
  • Considerable experience in instructional design 
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Advanced computer skills
