Function Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment and Selection, the Analyst, Position Management is the primary point of contact for managers and directors, in matters related to position management. He/She is involved in the administration and analysis of all aspects of the position management processes including the creation, modifications and maintenance of position-related data within the Human resources information system (HRIS). He/She is also responsible for respecting and interpreting collective agreements and appropriate legislation related to position management as well as applying policies and procedures of the organization. The Analyst, Position Management acts as a resource for questions on HR processes and policies, position-related data within the HRIS, HR reports and electronic forms. He/She offers training and support, provides analysis on position management matters, develops and updates training material and offers continuous support on position management. The incumbent assists the organization in optimizing use of resources through effective position management, and creation and improvement of HR electronic tools that efficiently facilitate effective Human Resources-related decision making.

Required Qualifications 

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources and working with a Human Resources Information System
  • Experience in dealing with the public, employees and all levels of management 
  • Experience with human resources practices and procedures, collective agreements, applicable employment and related legislation 
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Advanced Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Quadrant HR, Perfectform, and Reporting Tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of human resources practices, procedures, collective agreements, applicable employment and related legislation
  • Ability to interpret collective agreements
