Function summaryReporting to the Manager, Compensation, Benefits and Payroll, the incumbent is assigned tasks relating to the payroll functions. He/She contacts schedulers/supervisors requesting clarification of differences within the Scheduling module of QHR, oversees the incoming emails to the Payroll email account and responds after researching the request, and prepares the new hires report for Service Canada. The incumbent prepares reports for the monthly remittances of: union dues, pensions and benefits and charitable donations. He/She is responsible for the non-union Pre-Paid Leave Program, gym and parking deductions, and allowances related to collective bargaining. He/She is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère Continuing Care. He/She is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement. Required Qualifications- Two (2) year Community college diploma, in Accounting, or Accreditation courses with the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA), or equivalent experience, education and training
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
- Experience in dealing with the public, employees and managers
- Bilingual – both official languages – spoken and written (Candidates who do not meet this language requirement are eligible to apply for this position and may be considered if there are no other suitable applicants who meet this requirement)
- Advanced computer skills
