National Volunteer Week
April 23-29, 2017
Again this year, Bruyère will be highlighting the valuable contributions of its volunteers as part of National Volunteer Week—April 23-29, 2017.
Bruyère volunteers are dedicated and caring individuals who provide invaluable support to our patients, residents, tenants, families and visitors. They are an integral part of our health care team at each site.
By investing their time, energy, skills and expertise to serve others, our volunteers help Bruyère fulfill its 172-year mission of caring for the most vulnerable in our community by improving quality of life for those we serve.
This last year, Bruyère volunteers worked a total of 77,633 hours. At Bruyère, we highly value our volunteers’ involvement in a wide variety of activities, including but not limited to:
- Welcoming new patients and families to our hospital sites
- Assisting with and hosting recreational events
- Helping to develop innovative communication technologies for our patients
Bruyère is extremely proud of its volunteers and recognizes the level at which they achieve our vision of enhancing lives and transforming care.
“The heart of a volunteer is not measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others.”
Cheers to all our precious volunteers!
