  • AGEWell Hub Launch - November 27, 2017 - The launching of the newest AGEWell Innovation Hub will be taking place in Bruyère’s very own Geriatric Day Hospital. Save the date – more details are coming soon.
  • Bruyère MED Talks: "Can Alzheimer's be Stopped?"  - November 28, 2017 - Documentary and discussion with Dr. Andrew Frank, cognitive and behavioural neurologist, on the latest innovations in Alzheimer's research. This event will be held in the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital Auditorium, 43 Bruyère Street, from 7-9 p.m. The cost is $10 per person or $15 per family, with all proceeds going directly to Alzhemier's research.   • Deprescribing Fair - December 13, 2017 - Deprescribing is way for health care providers to help patients safely cut back on medications that may be causing burden or harm. The Deprescribing Fair aims to educate and involve the community in promoting the wellbeing of seniors in Ottawa through non-pharmacological approaches to symptom management. This free event will bring people together and explore strategies to help empower seniors with knowledge about medication safety. Cohosted by the Bruyère Deprescribing research team and the Canadian Deprescribing Network (CaDeN), this event will be held in the Gilbert Paquette Garden in Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. No RSVP necessary.
