careers feat imageThe Bruyère Research Institute is dedicated to improving care and our health system through progressive research and innovation. Join our team for an opportunity to not only transform care, but to transform your career!

Opportunities at the Research Institute include careers in research and administration, as well as training positions for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Careers

The Research Institute offers a variety of engaging career opportunities that support a diversity of research programs, innovation across our campuses, and core and research operations. We provide benefits and professional development opportunities as a part of our employment, detailed in each position.

Our current opportunities can be found on Bruyère’s Job Opportunities page by searching under the Research category.

Students and Trainees

Through our academic partnerships, the Bruyère Research Institute offers rewarding training opportunities for postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, summer students, and undergraduate students. The Research Institute is committed to offering students a rich and vibrant learning environment where they can gain valuable experience working on innovative research projects, advance their academic careers, and attend or participate in a range of educational events such as our learning series, research webinars, annual research day, and more.

We encourage all students interested in joining our team to directly contact investigators in their research area of interest. Identifying an investigator is considered a pre-requisite to obtaining a placement and is a great first opportunity for students to find a research area that matches their interests and academic goals. Investigators at the Research Institute predominately focus on research in aging in place and long-term care, rehabilitation, palliative care, primary care, medically complex care, and health equity. You can learn more about our investigators and their research, through our investigator directory.

Volunteering

Volunteers are a valued part of research at Bruyère. Whether it is screening participants for studies, data entry, or literature searches, volunteering at the Bruyère Research Institute is a wonderful way to gain experience and be a part of the research happening here.

If you are interested in volunteering with a research team, please reach out directly to an investigator to inquire if they are looking for support on their team. You can find out more about our investigators and their research interests through our investigator directory.
