Function Summary

Reporting to Manager, Medical Affairs, this role is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance with billing lists for physiatrists and hospitalists, documentation for legal, medical reports and insurance purposes, collection and preparation of billing information, preparation and distribution of forms and reports. This role:

 
  • Assists with correspondence and letters such as proofreading, responding and transcribing.
  • Works collaboratively within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to provide administrative support for special projects and departmental responsibilities, as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) year Community college diploma in medical office administration or in a relevant field
  • Two (2) years recent experience in administrative support in the health care setting
  • Experience in the use of CWS Meditech (Community-Wide Scheduling Module) Knowledge of outpatient clinic operations 
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, OACIS, MEDITECH) Advanced knowledge of medical terminology 
  • Fluent in French and English
