About:

Dr. Katrina DeZeeuw is a physiatrist at Bruyère’s Saint Vincent Hospital and The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Center. Her main areas of clinical and research expertise are in chronic wound care for patients in complex continuing care, as well as spinal cord injury and its complications, notably Sublesional Osteoporosis (SLOP).


She has completed a fellowship in spinal cord injury rehabilitation at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute - Lyndhurst Center, a global leading site for spinal cord injury treatment and research. Dr. DeZeeuw is passionate about bringing best-in-class treatments to her patients in Ottawa through training and collaboration with researchers, clinicians, and administrators in Ottawa and beyond. In her free time, she likes to go on adventures with her husband and two dogs.


Research Interests:

Neurospinal rehabilitation, chronic wound, spinal cord injury, Sublesional Osteoporosis (SLOP), quality improvement.
