About:

Martin Bilodeau obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (Université de Montréal) in 1988. He pursued graduate studies at the Université de Montréal and obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical Science (Rehabilitation) in 1993. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (1993-1995) before beginning his academic career at the University of Iowa (1996-2004). He has been at the University of Ottawa since 2004.

Professor Bilodeau teaches in the Physiotherapy Program and his research laboratory is located at the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital. His research work focuses primarily on normal and pathological aging, muscle fatigue, and movement control.

Research Interests:

Aging and mobility, postural control, exercise, neuromuscular fatigue.
