Marking Rehabilitation Day 2025
09/17/2025
September 17 marks Rehabilitation Day, a celebration of the critical role of rehabilitation in recovery and quality of life, and the dedicated teams that make this possible.
Rehabilitation is about more than healing after an injury or accident — it helps people manage chronic illness, restores independence, builds confidence, and gets people back to living their lives.
Our teams spend countless hours working together with patients like Brandon, allowing him to return home to his family after suffering a stroke. Or Thiago, whose spirits were lifted by the love, guidance, and kind gestures from his care team as he recovered from a severe illness that left him paralyzed. When he walked out of our hospital on his own, he was moved to tears as the teams behind his recovery gathered to celebrate.
Stories like these are happening every day, and we could not be more thankful for each member of our rehabilitation team for the crucial role they play and the commitment of our patients and their loved ones in the journey.
Join us today in celebrating, by sharing your heartfelt appreciation with a colleague, or sharing a post on social media with the hashtag #RehabilitationDay. Together, we really are making each life better.
We also wanted to express our thanks to Mayor Mark Sutcliffe for proclaiming the day and recognizing the importance of rehab and its life-changing impact in this City.
