For the past two years, Bruyère has partnered with Bell Media as part of its annual Toy Mountain campaign to collect toys for over 20,000 children in need during the holidays. This year, Bruyère expanded its holiday giving campaign to include seniors. “Santa for Seniors” is a partnership between Bruyère, the Good Companions Seniors’ Centre, and Tea and Toast to “bring a smile to a senior this holiday season” providing gifts for over 300 seniors, including Bruyère patients, residents and tenants. Gifts were dropped off at the Good Companions Centre to be packaged for delivery this week. A big “thank you” to all who took time to select a special gift for an isolated senior. Without your participation, this year’s campaign would not have been such a huge success. Seniors in our community will feel the warmth and love of your generosity this holiday season! Holiday giving continues with the last date to drop off gifts for Toy Mountain on Friday, December 21. Drop off bins are located at the entrance to each of our sites.
