Janice St-Denis named President and CEO of Bruyère Health Foundation

09/03/2026

The Bruyère Health Foundation Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Janice St-Denis as President and CEO, effective September 21, 2026.

Janice joins the Foundation with more than 20 years of leadership experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and advancement. Her career includes senior positions with Médecins Sans Frontières, McMaster University, and CHEO Foundation, where she most recently served as Vice President, Philanthropy.

Throughout her career, Janice has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing health care, building community partnerships, and inspiring philanthropy that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

For Janice, this appointment represents a meaningful homecoming. Raised in Orléans, she developed a connection to Bruyère Health through her mother's career as a nurse and her own experience working with the organization during the summer of 2003. These early experiences fostered a lasting appreciation for Bruyère Health's mission and the impact of compassionate care.

"We are delighted to welcome Janice to Bruyère Health Foundation. Her passion for philanthropy, her commitment to health care, and her proven ability to inspire people around a shared purpose make her an exceptional choice to lead the Foundation. We look forward to the impact she will have on our organization, our donors, and the communities we serve." - Joanne Kudakiewicz, Chair, Bruyère Health Foundation, Board of Directors

"I believe that Bruyère Health's impact is felt deeply in areas of health care, including aging, rehabilitation and complex care. Those stories deserve to be heard. As I enter the role of President and CEO for Bruyère Health Foundation, I am most excited to amplify those unheard voices and ensure the everyday stories of phenomenal care at Bruyère Health are shared in a way that ignites our community. I am honoured to be entrusted with championing the compassionate, person-centred care that defines Bruyère." - Janice St-Denis

The Foundation Board extends its gratitude to Kim Curran for her leadership over the past year. Kim's contributions have helped strengthened the Foundation and helped prepare the organization for this exciting new chapter. Kim will be returning to her role as Vice President, Major Gifts and Campaigns.

Janice officially begins her role on September 21, 2026.
