08/14/2018

On behalf of Bruyère Continuing Care, we are delighted to welcome Ms. Paula Doering to the role of Senior Vice-President, Clinical Programs, Chief Nursing Executive and Chief of Allied Health, effective September 17, 2018.

Paula is a seasoned leader who has achieved much success in health care leading various clinical programs in the Ottawa area over the last 30+ years. Since 2002, Ms. Doering has been Vice-President of various clinical programs at The Ottawa Hospital and since 2008, she has been Regional Vice-President of the Champlain Regional Cancer Program. Prior to this, she held positions at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and the Ottawa Hospital, including clinical manager and clinical director. Ms. Doering holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. She is also a graduate of the Registered Nurse Diploma Program from Algonquin College.

As we continue working alongside The Ottawa Hospital, Bruyère’s largest referral partner, our approach to system thinking and design has never been stronger. Both Dr. Jack Kitts and I are thrilled to see Ms. Doering accept this new role and responsibility. She will be instrumental in helping us continue to improve the patient and family experience, both within Bruyère and alongside our partner organizations.
