Make A Meaningful Difference With Your Will

06/01/2022

Wills are more than just a legal document to distribute your personal assets. They are also a powerful tool to make change in the world.

Can I support my loved ones and the causes I love?

You may be surprised to learn that designating even 1-2% of your Estate to the Bruyère Foundation in your Will can have an enormous impact on the patients, residents, and families that Bruyère serves. You don’t have to choose between your family and a cause like Bruyère that is close to your heart. You will still be leaving 98% or more of your Estate for your loved ones.

Many donors are not aware that making a gift in your Will can reduce or in some cases eliminate the amount of tax to be paid from your Estate. Both your beneficiaries and your cause come out ahead.

Do I have to be wealthy to leave a gift in my Will?

Donors like you have left Bruyère gifts ranging from $77 to seven figures. No matter the size of the Estate, a gift in your Will allows you to leave a philanthropic legacy and make it clear to your loved ones that Bruyère’s work was important to you in your lifetime.

Will Power: Use the power of your Will to do more!

The Bruyère Foundation is pleased to be part of Will Power, a national campaign to help you use the power of your Will to do more. Will Power is a national movement, made up of charities, financial advisors and legal professionals across the country, working together to show Canadians that they have the power to make a difference through their Will.

Where can I learn more?
