Reclaiming our Humanity: Explore the benefits of a volunteering culture

Reclaiming our Humanity is a free event open to everyone.
When : September 12, 2018, 1-4 p.m.
Where : Gilberte Paquette Garden, Bruyère Health Élisabeth-Bruyère Hospital—Ottawa, Canada
Over the course of this event, you will:
- Hear Dr. Frank Knoefel, physician at the Bruyère Memory Program and clinical scientist at the Bruyère Research Institute, speak about the health benefits of volunteering;
- Listen to Bill Dawson, retired construction worker, talk about his life changing experience as a Bruyère volunteer;
- Learn about the care system in Japan and its volunteers from Satoko Okamoto, our special guest speaker from Japan;
- Visit our engaging information booths and discover how people’s passions and interests are integrated into rewarding opportunities.
Light refreshments will be provided. Free parking on-site. Due to limited parking spaces, we encourage you to use public transit.
