BRI's Alison Krentel, PhD, and her team joined the Canadian Conference for Global Health and the Global Health Students and Young Professionals Meeting in Ottawa.
Alison chaired a session called “Public-private partnership for the control and elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases," which featured speakers from McGill, WHO and effect:hope. She and Dr. Pamela Mbabazi, from the World Health Organization HQ, also led a learning event entitled “the sexual and reproductive health issue you’ve never heard about: female genital schistosomiasis."
The Canadian Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases (CNNTD), a partnership between effect:hope and BRI, led a symposium at the Global Health Students and Young Professionals meeting the following day. Mary Ellen Sellers and BRI young NTD advocates led global health students through a quiz on NTDs and a case study. Dan Dilliott presented a poster on the acceptability study in Papua New Guinea.
