Driving simulation: establishing the norms

02/27/2024

Do you want to try out a driving simulator? For FREE?

Our research team has recently purchased and installed a driving simulator at Bruyère Research Institute, and we need ‘normal, healthy’ drivers of all ages to try it out. This is so we can establish norms for the machine that we can use in future studies.

Our study’s inclusion criteria:

  • Aged 19-90
  • Valid driver's license in Ontario or Quebec
  • No known physical, emotional, or cognitive disorders, nor be prone to motion sickness

What you'll be asked to do:

  1. Answer a questionnaire
  2. Perform a driving test on the driving simulator
  3. Answer questions about simulator sickness and cognitive load
