A Year in Review from Bruyère Research Institute

12/22/2023

As we look back on another year of patient-driven research, we celebrate the many ways research and innovation are changing the future of care at Bruyère and beyond.

This year we brought two of our major research programs together under the umbrella of Social Accountability. Our dedication to primary care and healthy equity is centered around optimizing models of care delivery, accessibility, and equity for everyone at all levels of care. Drawing on these strengths, we look forward to seeing the continued impacts of our research and fostering partnerships and collaborations on a local to global scale.

Top 40 HospitalWe also celebrated another year as one of Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals, ranking sixth for research spending growth. Once again, many of our researchers were recognized on Elsevier’s list of the top 2% of most-cited scientists in the world, including Dr. James Downar; Barbara Farrell, PharmD; Dr. Paul Hébert; Dr. Peter Lawlor; Dr. Clare Liddy; Dr. Shawn Marshall; Jennifer Petkovic, PhD; Heidi Sveistrup; PhD, Dr. Peter Tanuseputro; Dr. Peter Tugwell; Vivian Welch, PhD; and Dr. Kumanan Wilson.
