Welcome to Guy Chartrand, Bruyère’s new president and CEO

This is a very special day for Bruyère as it marks the arrival of our new president and CEO—Guy Chartrand.

Having worked in the Ontario health care sector for over 23 years, Guy brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization. He has occupied senior leadership positions in hospitals, long-term care, mental health and community care. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.

Guy is well educated, holding a Master’s degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Honours) and is currently completing his PhD. For 13 years, he taught various Business Administration courses at Laurentian University at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

In addition to being a strong advocate for local health system integration and system transformation, Guy is experienced at engaging people and creating and communicating a compelling vision. He possesses extensive understanding of capital and building projects, financial and operations management, and knows what it takes to be a high-performing organization.
