Gender Affirming Care Clinic

Bruyère Health Academic Family Medicine's Gender Affirming Care Clinic supports trans and gender diverse individuals ages 18+ in Ontario with the following services:

  • Initial medical gender-affirming care (hormone starts)
  • Surgical readiness assessments

Following a gender-affirming and consent-informed approach, care is provided according to best practices and quality standards developed through Health Quality Ontario and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health.

As a teaching clinic, medical residents, nurse practitioner students, and medical learners are involved in care under supervision, providing training to future primary care providers in the field of gender affirming care.
