Function summaryReporting to the Coordinator, Therapeutic Recreation Services, this role is responsible for conducting recreational activities under the direction of the Recreation Therapist. This role sees to the needs of the patients and welcomes the volunteers assigned to the different programs, is responsible for various technical duties related to recreation and supports socialization during mealtime. Is committed to living the Mission and Values of Bruyère. Is committed to patient and resident safety, on-going learning and continuous quality improvement.
Required qualifications- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Sensitivity to the needs and capabilities of Bruyère patient population
Preferred qualifications- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and innovation in practice in a continuously changing environment.
- Ability to work autonomously and able to actively and effectively work as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Fluent in French and English.
