Bruyère Continuing Care is a multi-site, academic, Catholic health care organization excelling in the provision of evidence-based health care and services for the vulnerable and medically complex in the community. Ontario’s largest service provider of complex continuing care, rehabilitation care, and palliative care, Bruyère is a member of the Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario, and represents a key transition point from hospital to home.

With over 944 beds, Bruyère’s goal is to create new state of the art facilities so that its over 2,000 dedicated employees can continue to transform Bruyère’s care model and ensure truly integrated delivery of services across the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). It is within this exciting context that Bruyère is seeking its next Senior Vice President (SVP), Clinical Programs, Chief Nursing Executive and Chief of Allied Health.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the SVP provides strategic and operational leadership in the development and delivery of Bruyère’s clinical programs. The SVP will work collaboratively with the other members of the Senior Leadership Team to define and support Bruyère’s growth and success during a period of exciting change, while sustaining a culture of excellence in the provision of quality patient and family centric care.

As an ideal candidate, you possess a graduate degree in a health-related field and a minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a dynamic and complex health care environment. A systems thinker with a demonstrated track record of facilitating positive change, you are highly respected for your ability to innovate, your clinical credibility, proactivity, business mindset, passion for improving patient outcomes and quality of care. You are highly team oriented, dynamic, and energetic with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to foster partnerships and effective relationships, both internally and externally, as you steward the evolution of Bruyère’s essential role within the continuum of services in the Champlain LHIN. Perhaps most importantly, you are a visible, inspiring, and collaborative leader who reflects the values of compassion, dignity, respect, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable in all you do. The ability to communicate effectively in both English and French is considered a significant asset.
