Function summary

The Psychometrist will carry out neuropsychological assessments to the Ambulatory Stroke Clinic patients and will provide consultation to colleagues about diagnosis, patient strengths and needs, and recommended interventions. Several time will be spent in direct intervention approaches with patient and/or family.

Required qualifications

  • M.A.in psychology or equivalent
  • Experience in neuropsychology (preferrable)
  • Up-to date clinical knowledge of issues in stroke rehabilitation/gerontology 
  • Ability to communicate in both official languages (French & English) 
  • Experience in working with a geriatric population and patients with a variety of neurological disorders 
  • Flexibility for consultation with colleagues, patient and/or family

Preferred qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team 
  • Expertise in dealing with behaviour management issues and skill in developing and planning behavioural interventions
