About:
Yasmin Khaliq is both a pharmacist (Doctor of Pharmacy) and a lawyer (concentration in Health Law). She has extensive experience in patient care, teaching, and research and has a strong interest in mental health equity, mental health law, and law reform.
Khaliq previously served on two Ontario tribunals—the Consent and Capacity Board and the Ontario Review Board—gaining firsthand insight into the legal issues affecting patients' access to treatment and the barriers faced by both patients and health care providers. She is deeply committed to equity and social justice and aims to conduct research that advances patient care through evidence-informed health policy reform.

Capacity, consent, mental health law, mental health pharmacotherapy, medical assistance in dying.
