Resident and family handbook

Trust accounts

On the day you move in or soon after, Accounts Receivable and Trust staff will contact you or the person listed on your application as responsible for financial matters. We need to have a copy of your health card as well as copies of existing power of attorney documents for property and personal care on file. We strongly recommend that residents arrange to have legal power of attorney at the time of moving into long-term care.

We recommend that you open an interest-free in-trust account with us for safely storing small amounts of money for various services and amenities. Please limit the amount of cash kept in your room. Small items of value, credit cards and cheque books may be left in the Accounts Receivable and Trust vault for safekeeping.

The Accounts Receivable and Trust office is located on the ground floor. Office hours are posted on the door.
