Changes to virtual care access
During the pandemic, healthcare providers were allowed exceptional coverage to provide virtual care to our patients who reside in provinces other than Ontario.
Effective immediately, as Ontario licensed health care professionals with professional colleges we are not licensed to provide virtual care to our patients living or residing outside of Ontario (this includes if you are located in another province or country temporarily but still live in Ontario).
One exception is between Ontario and Quebec Nursing College which allows nurses to still provide telemedicine to Quebec patients. Virtual care includes phone, video, email and texts.
We are pleased to continue to remain available to you for care needs onsite in person.
All visits with physicians and staff at the Bruyère Family Medicine Centre are by appointment.
When making an appointment, please inform the clerk of the nature of your visit.
Same-day appointments are available for urgent problems. If you are unsure if you require a same-day appointment, please ask to speak to a nurse.
We offer appointments during regular clinic hours. We also offer evening clinics to patients in need of urgent care.
- Regular Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Semi-Urgent Appointments: Monday through Friday evenings and Saturday morning and afternoon
- If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department

To Cancel an Apppointment
To cancel an appointment, call 613-683-4367 or 613-683-4369. Please state the following in your cancellation message:
- Date and time of the appointment you would like to cancel.
Please give at least 24-hour’s notice to cancel an appointment.
Patients who miss too many appointments without notice will be asked to find care at another clinic.
