Function Summary


R   The Coordinator Procurement reports to the Manager, Procurement and Logistics and is responsible for assessing, developing and proposing procurement strategies for a variety of services and goods. The coordinator will oversee all procurement activities and ensure that the organization complies with all regulations, directives and guidelines. He is highly involves the preparation of RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, pre-qualifications, etc. and the analysis of resulting proposals, the guidance of the evaluation process, the negotiation of terms and conditions, the execution of proper agreements and contracts and the follow up of the suppliers’ performance.


The Coordinator Procurement also responsible for the creation and maintenance of contract templates, the redaction of contracts including MOUs, MOAs as well as guiding Hospital Clients in the proper selection of which strategies to use.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (4 years) in a relevant field, e.g. public tendering law and/or contract law & administration from PMAC or other source, Certificate in Business Administration
  • PMAC CPP accreditation or Strategic Sourcing SCMA certification is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years experience writing tender and contract documents, posting tenders, purchasing experience; preferably in a healthcare organization.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Procurement and Contract software
  • Basic medical terminology
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
