About: 

Dr. Jacqueline Cochrane (nee Lovatt Stern) received her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with first-class honours from the University of Queensland in 2014. She completed residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC). She has also completed an international clinical fellowship in Stroke Rehabilitation and Spasticity at Fiona Stanley Hospital State Rehabilitation Service in Perth, Western Australia.


Dr. Cochrane is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa and an active medical staff member at Bruyère Health Élisabeth-Bruyère Hospital and The Ottawa Hospital. She will also be establishing a physiatry service at Glengarry Memorial Hospital. She is the PM&R Division Wellness Lead.


Dr. Cochrane's primary research focus is in stroke rehabilitation, with specific interests in patient and caregiver education and cerebellar strokes. She has an interest in medical education research around the health advocate role.


Research Interests:

Stroke rehabilitation, patient and caregiver education, cerebellar strokes, spasticity, medical education, health advocacy.
