As Ottawa’s first hospital, the Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital offers stroke and geriatric rehabilitation. It is also home to Canada’s largest academic palliative care unit and is Ottawa’s only palliative care hospital unit. Other community services and clinics include the Bruyère Memory Program and the John and Jennifer Ruddy Geriatric Day Hospital.

As Ottawa's largest single site provider of in-patient rehabilitation, Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital offers stroke and geriatric rehabilitation which is a dynamic, goal-oriented and time-limited process which enables an individual with impairment to identify and reach their optimal mental, physical, cognitive and social functional level.
Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital is home to Canada’s largest academic palliative care unit and is Ottawa’s only palliative care hospital unit.
We also offer an outpatient and outreach service through the Regional Palliative Care Consultation Team.
