Please join us in welcoming Sharon Rowan & Christel Alexis to the Bruyère family!

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Sharon Rowan as vice-president, philanthropy at the Bruyère Health Foundation. In her new role, Sharon will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of a diversified fundraising program and aligning to the priorities across Bruyère. Sharon has more than 15 years of extensive experience in the university, hospital and non-profit sector leading complex multi-million fundraising campaigns. Most recently, Sharon served as Director of Development for the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Medicine, where she supported its 400 million Defy the Conventional campaign and met financial targets of 100 million for the Faculty of Medicine. Her management experience includes: revenue generation planning; prospect research; strategic planning; analytics; leadership development and working with organizations to manage their stakeholder engagement and financial sustainability. Prior to her role at the University of Ottawa, Sharon served as Director of Cancer Fundraising at The Ottawa Hospital Foundation working with an incredibly talented team of volunteers, donors and staff. After finishing school in business and law, she spent 10 years working with Amnesty International defending human rights where revenue grew by 40%. She developed a planned giving and major gifts program in support of global poverty at CHF by building sustainable livelihoods in the world’s poorest regions and has volunteered in many different capacities throughout the community. Sharon is honoured to join the team at Bruyère to advance its academic research, education and transform clinical patient care. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations and welcome Sharon Rowan to our community. Her leadership and experience in fundraising, marketing and philanthropy are tremendous assets as we move towards the launch of our campaign efforts at Bruyère.
