Q: Can I make a donation over the telephone?
A: We are more than happy to accept donations over the telephone. All you need is a valid VISA, MasterCard or American Express card. You can reach us at 613-562-6319.

Q: Will the Bruyère Foundation notify the family if I've made a gift in memory of a loved one?
A: Absolutely. When we receive an In Memoriam gift, we send a letter to the family or individual notifying them of all the gifts we've received in memory of their loved one.

Q: Is the amount of my gift disclosed?
A: No, this information is confidential and will not be disclosed.

Q: Will I receive an income tax receipt for my gift?
A: All donations of $10 and more automatically receive a receipt for income tax purposes. You should receive it two to three weeks after making your donation.

Q: What is the Bruyère Foundation's charitable registration number?
A: Our charitable registration number is 88846 0441 RR0001.

Q: Can I make a donation of goods or equipment (Gift-in-Kind) to the Bruyère Foundation?
A: Yes, donations "in kind" are welcome. Prior to accepting the gift, the Bruyère Foundation will make sure that one of our four sites has a need for the donation. If the donor requests a charitable income tax receipt for the donation, the goods will be evaluated by a third party and an income tax
receipt will be issued for the "fair market value". We are sorry but donations of clothing will not be accepted by the Bruyère Foundation.
